Gary Payton said what?
Yeah, so apparently Al Jefferson is playing better than Tim Duncan, and deserves to start over His Majesty in the All-Star game. During TNT's broadcasts Thursday night, Payton made this statement about Jefferson's lack of inclusion as an All-Star. And I guess later, he starts going off about how Amar'e should be starting over Tim as well (much to the amazement of the rest of the TNT gang).
In the You Tube clip Payton states that he watches a lot of the suns and not very much of the Spurs. That should tell you everything right there, so there's really no need to try and disect his reasons as to why he spewing crap on national tv. And then he starts going off on Kenny about how much better he was than the Jet (the real Jet, not this Jason Terry fella who stole Kenny's nickname and pretends to fly around the court when he makes a basket). I'm just glad that all of my hatred of Payton has been justified by seeing this mindless drivel. What an ass!

Funny thing is that in a few years Payton is gonna be a coach or a GM and will suck badly at that and all the people will be asking why his team fails or what was he thinking when he made X trade

Gary Payton is right. Amare is an untradeable All-Star, just look at these All-Star numbers Amore put up against Boston:
1 Rebound. 3 points. 4 turnovers. 4 fouls. 0-7 shooting
If that stat line doesn’t have “All-Star” written all over it, then this whole All-Star game is a sham. One big fucking sham I tell you.
FGP
He sure better have D-Wade in his Fave 5 for gifting him a ring on his way out of the league aboard that Miami gravy train.
Gary Payton is a moran.

It is so shocking and frustrating how much crap a once great player can produce with his mouth. You would like to believe that since he used to play in the association that he would know the game a little better. I love that Kenny threw it in his face how Payton stole a ring on his way out when he was barely serviceable at that point in his career. I can’t stand Gary Payton.

the second worst part about the whole thing is that stoudemire is a shitty basketball player. of course, the worst being the slight against tim.
it’s frustrating that even some of the game’s great players don’t understand the game. that’s right, i said it, i’m smarter than gary payton.
you ain't a beauty but hey you're all right.

GP ego is bigger than him. He is nothing but a Ring Chaser.
I wish someday Shaq work in TNT beside him and hear what Shaq can say about him..

Tim is a better all around player than Amare. Amare is a fantastic player, no doubt, but he is certainly not deserving of a starting spot on this year’s team, or ever. Gary the Glove doesn’t know what he’s talking about. A ring-chaser, that’s a good one. Reminds me of another ‘great’ ring chaser, and one who’s one of the greatest power forwards ever – Karl Malone.
