bruce bowen...all-star?
has anyone seen the all-star voting returns? how on earth did bruce bowen finish third in western forward voting? beating melo and dirk? something is rotten in the state of denmark...though it would have been hilarious if he had beaten out a'm'a'r'e'.

If he had made it, you know for damn sure there would have been changes.

If Tracy McGrady and Allen Iverson can START for each conference, I think it’s ok that Bruce finishes third. It is kinda funny, though. :)

Haha yeah, Bowen starting might’ve finally messed up Amare for good. I think American Idol’s enemy, votefortheworst.com has branched out into basketball and they’ve been voting religiously for totally awesome players like bruce and yi jianlian

I still dont get it. Argentinians and french are not like the chinese. We are only like 100 million combined, and I dont sense that a lot of people here vote for the all star. This Bruce Bowen thing is a big enigma, and after searching the web for answers it seems no one has a clue what happened. Does Bruce Bowen mean something we dont know in chinese?

This will be ten times funnier when Bruce is called to defend Artest and Ro punches him right in the kisser!
THis article should clear things up
I can’t believe this isn’t getting more talk on a Spurs forum. Apparently, Bowen helped his PR with appears with Obama and several goodwill tours to China.
As a lifetime achievement sort of thing, he does deserve it. He’s been the premier perimeter defender in the 2000’s…..with QRoss coming in a close second. Yet he’s never been a defensive player of the year. Its good to see the Spurs getting some recognition.
I love LAC.
