You might want to lay off PTR if …

You cancel plans with your friends on a Saturday night so you can stay home, hop online and play drinking games with your fellow PTR-ers. Not that I’ve ever done this…

You’ve considered going out and buying a fish aquarium because you can’t get enough of Hipuks’ fish pics.

You have to fight the urge to say “That’s what she said” when your mom says something that she thinks is completely innocuous, like “That was really hard.”

You’re at work or hanging out with your friends and someone makes a sexually inappropriate comment, to which you reply “BANNED!” before you can stop yourself.

You receive puzzled expressions from your friends after calling them “The JV” when they do something stupid. Why don’t they get the joke??

When you wake up, you realize that you just dreamt about your PTR friends all night. Faceless, some even nameless, friends. It’s like when you watch a TV show so much that you start to believe the characters are your friends in real life.

You’re about to put on your clothes for the day, and as you pick out a cashmere sweater, ATS’s face (and by face, of course I mean Avatar/profile pic) passes before your eyes. Because we all know he has a strange obsession with cashmere.

You’re talking to someone, they say something you totally agree with, so you shout “Plus 1!!”

That's all I've got for now.Feel free to add to the list. And go easy on me...this is my first time... (TWSS)

So fucking hilarious. Best fanpost ever.
My Warcraft friends are tired of “+1” and “that’s what she said”…………..

How about “You’re starting to think it’s socially acceptable to make references to your Warcraft lifestyle?”

by SgtinManusArmy on Jan 21, 2009 10:00 PM CST up reply actions

I dont have any problems to talk about my lifestyle. I have nothing to be ashamed of. Im not that chubby guy full of pimples (not that I have any trouble with people like that) who spends his whole day in front of a PC.
BTW, is it me or you are just a bit jealous? Dont be afraid, I dont steal girls… (at least up until now hehe)

If you want to play with your friends and have some good ’ole fun with original games with shallow backstories, get the wii. If you want more adult games, with actual depth and better stories and usually more gore, go for the Xbox 360. If you like the George Foreman grill, get the PS3.

by Hipuks on Jan 22, 2009 2:37 AM CST up reply actions

wii. its more fun and enjoyable, especially with friends.

but then i use my pc for “serious” games, and believe a console should be a console, not an all-encompassing entertainment system.

by sleep research facility on Jan 22, 2009 5:27 AM CST up reply actions

Definately the 360. Games are better, deeper and better graphics. The FPS games are legit (you like CoD4?, try Gears of War), and the sports games are the best of any system.

Plus, I have an Xbox. My 11- year old niece has a Wii. That should tell you everything.

by SgtinManusArmy on Jan 22, 2009 10:39 AM CST up reply actions

11 year olds seem to have a lot of fun. My vote goes to Wii

I hate to say it, but I’m gonna have to agree with SiMA on this one. I don’t like video games, though, so I’m only speaking from what I’ve heard other people say. Most of the guys I know (including my brothers) prefer the XBox over the Wii.

Spot on, SiMA. I primarily play the sports games on xbox, and it’s worlds ahead of the wii or ps3

1.) What is wrong with you?
2.) It’s beyond that. I researched heavily before buying a new console, and 360 is by far the way to go. The games are better, pure and simple. CoD4 is worth 360 alone.

by SgtinManusArmy on Jan 22, 2009 2:25 PM CST up reply actions

Xbox live alone is reason enough for me to go with the 360. The sports games are far and away the best out there (especially nba live and madden) from both a graphics and a gameplay perspective. I don’t play FPS games, but my roommate’s 360 FPS games are unreal—CoD and Gears of War are the best 360 games of their kind, no ifs, ands, or butts.

Ditto on all that, Hamer. Go with the 360, you won’t be disappointed. And you won’t be ashamed as you would when you tell other dudes that you have a Wii.

This is the same reason all people would tell you to watch that expressionist french movie instead of Iron Man or Transformers. They all want to watch what its supposed to be “better”, “more classy”, “more intelectual” and that has the better reviews from the so called experts. Still, you cant deny that the guy watching Iron Man is having 100X times a lor more fun that the one watching the french movie. Do yourself a favor, buy a Wii and be happy. Really happy with smiles and all that shit.

I think people need to check out “it’s always sunny in Philadelphia”

this show is as good as the “Larry David show” and “Arrest Development”

Also very episode actually continues from the previous show it’s very crude, funny and ingenius! And they make fun of very race, religion, sex, and anything and everything that is taboo in our society today.

http://www.fxnetworks.com/shows/originals/sunny/

you can watch episodes online. I guarantee you guys and girls will love it!
