How to apologize without saying sorry by Buck Harvey
Check out his latest article: http://www.mysanantonio.com/sports/spurs/As_a_cabbie_Popovich_was_golden.html

In his previous article, you would've thought the world had ended for Manu after the injury. He was probably salivating over the potential friction between player and coach, questions about Manu's loyalty, etc. At last, he can write about something sensational and not about the good old boring Spurs.
But our favorite Olympian didn't like it....probably bristled at the part about the loyalty that supposedly comes with a $10M salary...or the part saying "Ginobili chose, and he was wrong."
I mean, can you imagine saying that directly to Manu? Me neither.
Now Buck probably wishes he could make everyone forget that the previous article was ever in print. It was a knee-jerk reaction and it is obvious now. Otherwise, he wouldn't be talking about the fine-and-dandy relationship of Pop and Manu.
It's a pretty nice piece that shows you Pop's class. The guy can be crazy sometimes, but he deals these situations pretty well. But if you've read the other article, you'll see this for what it is. A lame backpedal job.
And props to Manu. He didn't even have to mention names and he's got Buck scurrying like a frightened rabbit.
