Manu having surgery

So that's happening. Awesome. So much for the pipe dream that rehab and rest were all that is needed. No speculation about how long he'll be down, but ankle operations are not, in my experience, quick and painless procedures.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you, sweet prince.

This word limit is really freakin ridiculous. That's my two cents. And 18 more words, suck that SB Nation.

just so you know, if you put spaces in there you can use less characters.
wordswordswordswords is only 1 word where “words words words words” is 4. Just saying.
I know the internet is new to you bumpkins in the Colorado mountains, but English shouldn’t be.

I hate you, but yet I learn so much from you. I would respond more, but the ‘shine is ready and I can’t let it sit for too long.

the two of you are like Laurel and Hardy
I’m cracking up. From the internet being new to bumpkins, to ’shine sitting too long … All I can do is raise a glass of creme soda and toast you both.
And since we're talking about jacked up ankles
Please for the love of God, do not post any more pictures of your jacked up ankle from a few years ago. I still can’t shake that image from my head.
Superman wears Manu Ginobili pajamas to bed.
After busting on SiMA’s lack of spaces, and therefore, a lack of command of the English language, now you’ve shown utter disregard for the difference between “Please for the love of God, do not post…” and “Please for the love of God, do post…”
Do you need a review of negatives?
I guess I needed to lean on the sarcasm button a little harder.

wow… that’s pretty jacked up. I once had a broken ankle that looked almost that bad, but the bruising didn’t extend to the toes and wasn’t quite that red on the upper ankle. I thought it was impressive because I had red and blue on the bottom of my foot. I used to think I was badass… now I feel like a .

saw this i think at the exact moment you did SMA.
have a speedy recovery manu!

the Spurs do not defeat you so much as they grind you into tiny shards of psychological wreckage.

This surprises exactly no one who paid any attention
Well.. on the upside, this means that my oft-stated opining that Manu shouldn’t be played more than 50 games this upcoming year will probably be heeded.
well… fuck.

The glass is half full...?
Seeing as I was to slow (by two minutes) with my original post, I will repeat it here:
I guess we all new this was coming. No word yet on what the recovery time will be. I am trying to convince myself that this is actually the best scenario. The surgery will force Manu to rest (presumably miss part of the season) which will hopefully mean he is better shape for the playoffs (on that note I hope we manage to grab the 6th seed…crap). Also, I am hoping that at the end of the day Manu will be better off having the surgery rather than playing all year knowing that he could re-injure his heel/ankle on any given random play.
Get better Manu!!!!
"I'm comfortable with winning" - Manu Ginobili
on espn it said he’d need 6-9 weeks to recover after surgery. they were projecting he comes back in november.

As long as this surgery isn’t known for creating other issues, or being very difficult to finally get back into shape, or something like that — as long as that’s not the case, then I see no downside at all. Like Tdot, I was not looking forward to an entire season of wondering if he’d reinjure the ankle, or seeing him play subpar and wondering if it was a bump to the thigh he’d taken a couple of games before, or if it was the ankle again.
Not that we can make those concerns go away completely, but if he’s brought back correctly, then I only see upside here.
Take as much time as you need Manu
Pop will really limit his minutes now. Hopefully there won’t be any lingering effect come April and May.

As long as it gets him healthy again, no worries.

Par for the course
Fitting news considering the offseason the Spurs had.

hows that for hitting the sarcasm button?
well my first reaction is: fuck fuck fuckity fuck fuck fuck
the glass half full side of me hopes that there can be a full and speedy recovery without fear of a season of the injury nagging him every couple of weeks. if he can get back by end of november, i’d personally be thrilled.
his playing for the national team was a must in my opinion, so i’m happy to see him not taking too much grief on that. tough break for we spurs fans though….
and i always thought that ATS and SiMA were the same person with a split personality….like evil ren and hideously evil ren from the old ren and stimpy cartoons…..
I’m taking the liberty of assuming that I am the ‘hideously evil Ren’ by your respective description. Bones, you have made my weekend.
One of the all-time best shows, btw. Again, thank you enormously.

Hell yeah you are the hideously evil Ren.
As far as the Laurel and Hardy comment goes, Wikipedia says, they “are of two supremely brainless, eternally optimistic men, secure in their perpetual and impregnable innocence” which I think hits the nail on the head.

hey ren....i gotta go....number 3
i cant really make the call on who is evil/hideously evil as i am still stuck on the likelihood that you both are the same person.
sweet prince? That’s a bit much.
Then again, I do routinely call him God, so maybe not. If the Eagles don’t get off to a good start, fall is gonna suck.
pot, this is kettle. kettle, this is pot.
do you really want us to dredge through your old comments to see exactly how many monikers you’ve bestowed upon Manu?
