Let’s watch some basketball.

manu still looks hesitant on cutting fast. guess his ankle still hurts. we need more layups. can’t rely on jumpshots all series.

pop better tell timmeh to wake the hell up and do something.

we need to rebound. they are killing us in that department.

thanks for the new thread, my crappy computer was bogging down on that other thread

Why didn’t we keep going to Manu when he had a hot hand? I’ll never understand some of Pop’s decisions. But he’s the master.

Manu has twice as many assists as Tony. That needs to change in the second half. (More Scouts Inc. worthy bball analysis!)

Timmy has to score more.

I wonder if NO shifts to cover the perimeter more if Timmeh can pick things up.

right Latin, that isn’t good that Manu has more assists than Tony considering Tony has had the ball 90% of the game!

Exactly

I should get paid for insight like that.

You may as well. Simmons gets paid for less.

I think we have to run our entire offense through Bruce Bowen, and make him our franchise player.

I think you just gave Pop a nosebleed.

Pop, better realize that in this Series that Manu has the advantage against the Hornets not Tony, but he didn’t in the first half!!!

by adam8065 on May 3, 2008 10:41 PM CDT reply reply   0 recs

We’re going to be fine. My fear was they had more talent and/or were better than us. They’re not. Our coach will out scheme their coach. We’re taking this shit.

My cup is half full analysis: Duncan has 3 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 turnovers and we are up 4.

espn has good updated stats.

When the spurs aren’t on TV, I follow their gamecasts.

So, if Timmeh has a good second half, will win by 345 points? Is that what you’re saying?

Um, yes. Have you been drinking again Hipuks?

I went to my first Spurs game in about 75 when they were in the ABA. I can’t ever turn my back on that.

I watch the Bulls from time to time. It’s an old habit I kept since the good ol’ MJ times. So let me tell you that what Paul did with Chandler is just amazing. I can’t wait to be able to praise him after the Spurs methodically send him to an early vacation.

How far can Utah push LA? 6 games?

Yeah, but they looked bad at times against Houston. And Houston was hobbling.

I’ll readily admit to not following much of the NBA past the Spurs, but isn’t Kibe a pretty good defender?

Can? Yes.

Not sure they will, but they’re tougher and play better d. I think it will be a good series.

I still expect LA to win.

i say lakers in 6… i would like to see utah pull this one off though. who knows, we hurt them last year in the playoffs so if we faced them it would be a tough matchup

Also, the Jazz are about 1/3 as scary as the Lakers, for the Spurs. For a number of reasons.

let’s resume worrying about the hornets.

by Krukow on May 3, 2008 10:53 PM CDT reply reply   0 recs

Sitting here watching the game, (this series could easily be a blowout, btw, if Pop continues to realize that he’s playing BScott) and I came up with a new NBA ad. I know this is insensitive, and I don’t care. Boo my team consistantly for an entire first half without even taking a breath, and my gloves come off.

Cue cheesy instrumental music, began showing pictures of storm surges and devestation caused by storm…. flash tagline “Where Bruce Bowen Happens.” Continue shots of devestation. Fade out.

Welcome to the NBA Playoffs, NOOCH.

PS- GREAT threads guys! I can’t wait to read them over after the game. It should only take me, like, 19 hours.

good to have you SiMA. We need your mojo.

Every element of the mojo is in place, I assure you. It’s all laid out, and working well so far. Gotta run though, cause as you know, an important part of the mojo is absence of SiMA.

by AusTechSpur on May 3, 2008 10:57 PM CDT to parent up reply reply   0 recs

My 2nd half analysis. We’ll be ok if we rebound better. They are up 9 on the boards right now. If that goes up we’ll be in trouble.

by AusTechSpur on May 3, 2008 10:53 PM CDT reply reply   0 recs

Yeah..but The Rockets won 14 of those games with Yao…and T-mac was hurt the entire series, and ALston missed the first games against the Jazz too..so Utah is a joke!
