IS THE ICE UNDER YOU MELTING? MAYBE A LITTLE?
Tonight the Spurs played a Stellar game against the New Orleans Nagins. Oh wait, I mean Hornets. This is what I am talking about. What the hell is up with these games? I wish I had Steven A. Smith or Hollinger's number in my cell because I would call one of those bastards and ask them to attempt to explain this to me. All the while I would be sipping a beer while halfway falling asleep. Here is the bottom line - Spurs go to NO for game 7. For most NBA fans out there the Spurs forcing a game 7 was a "maybe" opportunity. Here it is. Game 7 on Monday! I am more pumped than a pair of 90s basketball shoes! Game 6 was intense full of great plays, injuries and... and... and me kicking back some brewski's in the heart of Dallas. So, Game 7. What will it be? Scrappy Dappy and clan or the "old men" silver and black? I would like to think it is about time we stop the trend of playoff away losses and take this final game of the series. Shake the feathers a bit. Slap the little neh sayers around like rag dolls. I expect to walk away as another hated rival of the Hornets. Let's keep tallying them up like scrapes on a prison wall. Ok NO fan... put some good jazz on and remember this quote, tonight "WE...DRANK...YOUR...MILKSHAKE!" Sleep well.

Here’s why we don’t win in NO. We play two full quarters with ok basketball. We have the lead at half time which is great. But after halftime and the warm ups someone has a remote control in their hand. They’re the only ones who know about it. They press it and a small rectangular sturdy piece of glass comes right out of the back board and lies parallel with the rim on the Spurs side. And next thing you know the Spurs can’t hit any shots. Then the Hornets retake the lead. Maybe every now and then the glass goes back in and some shots fall for Parker or Duncan, but then it creeps back out again when the Spurs start to get back in the game. Then at the five minute mark in the fourth quarter it comes out again and the Hornets go on a 18-3 run, thus winning by 21 or 22 pts. Would you ever put this past a team like this, a bunch of High School, non-college players who push and shove and then whine when the call doesn’t go their way?

This is why all of the home teams are winning. Wouldn’t this be something if it might be true? You never know
