Obama is to Lebron as McCain is to...
Ths is not meant to spark a political controversy. We have more pressing issues at hand such as Game 6. I just thought it was amusing.
Not paid for by the Committee to Elect either Barack Obama or John McCain. I, Pounding the Rock, or SBNation do not endorse any message, either express or implied, as to any merits or criticisms related to these analogies (If I did, I'm sure I'd be violating the McCain/Feingold Campaign Reform law).

To clarify:
Both are one loss from a much needed retirement.

Totally agreed with the comparison until you one-uped it. Yours is actually much more spot on. Add to that ‘the general disdain for everything not him’ and ‘the need to sit for large stretches at a time to avoid fatigue;’ and RoHo is a perfect match.

“It’s just a testimony to the quality of his career and that he played in so many playoff games."

Kareem really wanted to say, “He was a career bandwagoner, that made a few clutch shots here and there.”

That may be what you think, but Kareem says what he means.

Obviously the only reason I posted this was because of the mention of Robinson. No self-important, smug prose interposed with the quixotic photo here.
