It's not over...
Lots of national commentators are already swinging over to the SPURS, and virtually declaring the series over. "Nooch is demoralized," "Nooch is lost and confused," "San Antonio has figured Nooch out."
I still believe we're taking the series and have more control and favorability now than any stats or numbers would suggest, but this article definately is eye-opening. It's certainly not over. Nooch is a talented team, and capable of easily blowing us out in New Orleans. Tonight's game will be very, very difficult and we'll be fortunate to escape with a W. It's likely that tonight's winner wins the series.

Sorry beachwood, didn’t see that you’d already posted this link in the thread. I’m a dumbass. Good scoop.
The problem with Hollinger’s article is that it does not represent the NOW. It’s based on what other teams have done in past years. I really could care less what the trend is or what hasn’t taken place. All that matters is NOW. Examining the history books and box scores from long ago has absolutely zero effect on the outcome of this series. We all know that the so called “experts” are idiots and none of us need to read Hollinger’s article to understand that this series isn’t over at 2-2.

Never over
well, you know, until one team wins four times. but the media is always saying this series or that is over after just a game. It friggin’ tied! No slouching, no slacking, give 100% effort every game, and keep pounding until the stone is cut clean through.
who are you who can summon fire without flint or tinder? there are some who call me ... tim.
one thing i would argue about momentum, is that it can be looked at as the effectiveness of coaching adjustments. looking at games 1 and 2, new orleans definitely beat the hell out of us, but not as bad as we beat them in game 4.
the final scores in the nawleans wins are more exaggerated, i would think, because we led both games at halftime and were in a position to win until about four or five minutes left, when pop cleared the bench and the bugs took off with it.
i am not saying we can discount those blowouts, but those games were not the kind of all-encompassing ass beating that the spurs handed down on sunday. we were up by 20+ in the second quarter then, and prevented the hornets from ever managing a significant run.
you ain't a beauty but hey you're all right.
