Update on Splitter
I found this on Tiago's performance in the Euroleague Final Four.
From DraftExpress and the review of the Euro Final Four.
Tiago Splitter had 17 points for Tau on 5-7 shooting from the field. He was terrific with his back to the basket inside, commanding double teams and finding the open man, using nice pivot moves and even hitting a pretty swooping hook shot in the lane. Maybe the 7-14 he shot from the free throw line will convince him to work on getting rid of the ugly hitch he has in his mechanics from the line, but regardless, there is no question that the San Antonio Spurs got a huge stud—a player worthy of a top 10 pick fall to them at the end of the first round.

i am all aflutter. for some reason, theres been a lot of talk about what happens to the spurs when timmy leaves and/or how many years has got in him. i have no doubt we’ll be a contender until his contract runs out in 2012. im sure he’ll retire then, too. but im pretty excited about ian, tiago, and a 29 year-old tony handling the reins in the coming years.
who are you who can summon fire without flint or tinder? there are some who call me ... tim.

Chris (Phoenix): JA Adonde said in his chat last week that everyone calling the Spurs floppers is getting old, and i totally agree. But you know what else is getting old, the Spurs flopping!
John Hollinger: (5:01 PM ET ) If you're upset now, wait til you see Tiago Splitter next year. Cut from the same cloth.
Whatever, I’m still stoked…

a) i have a vague feeling hollinger has not ever watched splitter play and that he’s just assuming he will based on popular opinion that the spurs are floppers.
b) how could he watch any basketball when he’s crunching numbers all day.
c) he sucks

the Spurs do not defeat you so much as they grind you into tiny shards of psychological wreckage.

Hmmm...
Maybe he is saying Splitter flops, but maybe he is saying “You’re just bitter because SAS beat PHX! You disillusioned PHX Sons fans who are sick of losing to the Spurs…just wait until they get Tiago-then they will be even harder to beat!”

OK...
After seeing the “cut from the same cloth” comment, I think Hollinger is talking about flopping. But, as Nacho Libre would say, “whatever”
