Game thread # 77 -- at Portland

The Spurs have lost the tiebreaker with the Hornets (due to conference record), and there's little chance of catching them given we're two games back in the loss column and they have three gimmes left on the schedule (@MIN, @SAC, vs. LAC).

The Spurs play the Blazers today, a team led by the media darling Brandon Roy.  He's a classic example of a guy that gets extra credit for being nice to everybody.  His TS% is 39th amongst SGs.

Re: Game thread # 77 -- at Portland
We don't need the top seed.  I'd honestly rather see us fall into the third seed and a first-round match up with Houston or Phoenix.  Denver is going to fall in the 8th seed because, well, they're lazy underachievers, and I'd rather see the Lakers and Mavs rough each other up before we meet them in round 2.

NOH is clearly playing to get the top seed this year, so why not let them have all the pressure?

Someone explain to me why Bowen and Udoka shot 2 more attempts than Manu...

Ah well. It's a win.

Damn, the Spurs were boring yesterday. At least they got the dub.

Re: Game thread # 77 -- at Portland
i don't see the hornets making it to the western conference finals, so it doesn't matter if they're first.

Manu must damn near have hpyothermia by now, being frozen out of the offense so much.
