Manu wins 6th Man of the Year Award

I know this may come as a complete shock to everyone. But Manu has finally reached the pinnacle of his career by winning the Sixth Man of the Year Award. I don't even know how they can give it to this chump.... HE DIDN'T EVEN MAKE THE ALL-STAR TEAM....AND HE'S A FLOPPER!....AND HE'S GOING BALD!

Congratulation Manu. You go drink that milkshake.

Well deserved, and he should have won it last year too. How this dude wasn’t voted to the All Star game is beyond me.

Hear hear, no doubt DC. If he brings it next year, they won’t miss him though… I’m confident of that.

Congrats, Lord Manu. We all know you partake in the wisdom of this blog. We’re all proud, and will continue to serve you as loyal subjects, and rabid man-crush followers.

Awesome. He should be All-NBA as well. And given a statue.

He definitely deserves to be in the all-NBA teams. It’s a travesty that Brandon Roy was voted to the All-Star, and not Manu, but we all know that.

Still, I doubt Manu cares all that much about this award. I heard him say once that it was like being the best of the average players. Or something like that.

Ginobili received 615 of 620 possible points in the voting, including 123 of 124 possible first-place votes. (Doing the math here, it appears that whomever did not vote Ginobili No. 1 actually didn’t list him on the ballot at all).

WTF????? It should have been MANUious! I say we find out who the prick was that did this and bombard him or her with e-mails!!!!

Ass!

Suns Beat Writer

It was probably the Suns beat writer that didn’t vote for Manu at all. That or a George Karl stooge.

So...

...by your logic a guy going bald should not be given the 6th man award? And you called HIM a chump? The NBA is known worldwide for two things: 1- bad officiating, and 2- floppers. Every player does it because every coach coaches it. Deal with it. It will be tough but you can do it. This award was overdue and should have been given to Ginobili last year.

Lol...going over to my corner to "deal with it"

My post was dripping with sarcasm. These are the comments that can be heard by ESPN and their writers.

Southern Lion… CMoney was making a funny there. Notice the “Congratulations, Manu” at the end of the post.

You need to brush up on your Internet sarcasm.

My sarcasm recognition aside.....

it’s just the fact that I’m a PTR newbie that led me down the wrong path, not my poor sarcasm IQ. Read my profile. You’ll see that I do recognize sarcasm, but as the newbie I don’t know CMoney from Eddie Money. If I hurt someone’s feelings by saying “deal with it”, then he may have to deal with that too. I know sarcasm, not CMoney. Give me time, and don’t hate me because I’m beautiful.

Reading your comments, I initially had CMoney’s back. He’s a regular, valuable and insightful contributor. I never heard of you, and I hate lions.

But then you referenced Eddie Money.

I’m with you now, SL. Yes, I can be persuaded that simply and bought even easier. It’s with no sarcasm whatsoever when I say that if you provide the two tickets to paradise, count me in with you. As the immortal Mr. Connery once said, “Welcome to the Rock.”

No Worries

We’re all big boys here. You won’t see me crying unless you steal my lunch box sarcasm. At the very least, your response was good for a laugh. Welcome to PTR.

Yeah, welcome. You need to tell us your Manu homer story one of these days.

...You have one, right?

by LatinD on Apr 22, 2008 11:45 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

I have no

Manu homer story, as he and I don’t live together. Suffice it to say that bald guys have each others backs. Hair is so overrated.
