pop via mavs moneyball

sorry, i stole this from mavs moneyball comments, cuz it made me laugh:
"and they barely won in a home game over us. I like our chances, and we're still growing as a "new" team after a trade. It went right down to the line and Avery's idiocy. Too bad, we're stuck with the inept coach though.

How about this trade?

Mavs: send Avery Johnson and a first rounder
Spurs: send Gregg Poppovich."

I know Pop does weird things, but I wuvs him!

I also like how they spent the entire thread bitching about the refereeing, even though Dirk went to the line for literally tripping over himself.

And yeah, I'm not sure why Avery pulled Kidd out either. Sure, he's not a great shooter, but you'd think he'd be able to create something other than a Jason Terry drive that ends up getting blocked.

Re: pop via mavs moneyball
agreed.  you know that kidd has the ability to find an open shooter with that much time on the clock.  dumb.

whenever i being to think that we go a little bit crazy on this site, i am reminded that there are a bunch of other folks that are crazy for real.

some of the comments from the mavs fans are serious crazy - not to menton the suns fans reaction to brent barry turning them down. one commenter even called the suns a cursed franchise.  that's a pretty big statement after being turned down by a 36 year old injured reserve.

Re: pop via mavs moneyball
having a really good team and never winning a title will make fans crazy. i can remember how crazy it made spurs fans for the longest time. in the summer of 98, the spurs had made the playoffs 18 times (missed only 4) but had never won a title. they even lost a few series to teams with worse records
