I was going to offer to do the recap for the March 7th game in Denver since I planned to be behind our boys' bench, but I've recently chosen not to go. As a SA native, the thuggets are all I have to watch live up here.
I've gotten so tired of the basketball joke that is 'George Karl's rectal rangers,' that I'm through giving money to that team and attending games. It used to be that when the SPURS came in it was a can't miss for me. I know we're spoiled being San Antonio fans; the committment to character, the high moral virtues, the team concept, the strict defense and intelligent schemes... and as a diehard NBA fan, the thuggets have the opposite of each of these. I'm fed up with listening to their pathetic fans and watching the steaming pile of dog feces put on the floor every night. I simply can't deal with it anymore. Which leads me to my question...
As someone else who would take a bullet for the SPURS... as someone who would sacrifice my first born for an opportunity to wipe the sweat from Timmy's brow... as someone who believes that Manu was sent to protect us from the anti-christ... am I allowed to miss March 7's game in Denver? I trust each of you as fans having the insane passion that I have. Do I attend regardless of my hatred for the thuggets, or do I watch in HD at home? Would I be less of a SPURS fan if I had the opportunity to be at the game, but my pride and rage against Coach Hairlip and his gang kept me away?
These are the issues of greatest importance for a SPURS fan trapped in the mountains. Please give me direction here.
PS- Sorry, listening to "sports" radio in CO now and just had to rant out a little hatred. I'll still do the recap regardless, unless someone else has claimed it.
