I missed the game yesterday, it was only my second all year. Caught up on it from highlights, interviews and mostly the game thread. Here's what's killing me:
-Manu is slow. I don't know if so much of it is mental or that he really did experience a lot of muscular atrophy in his time off. Either way he needs to shake loose soon because his craftiness can only take us so far. We need explosive Manu.
-Finely should never play more minutes than Mason. Why the hell did we go out and get Mason if we're going to reduce him to our third shooting guard? I'm so frustrated with Pop right now.
-JV should never play comparable minutes to Hill. We spent our first round pick, and wisely so, on Hill. We got a gem but Pop is so damn stupid he won't give him playing time.
-Tony Parker is killing any offensive chemistry we were starting to establish. Chop it up any way you want but With Tony we are 2-6, Without Tony we are 9-2. Think about that long and hard.
My solution is trade Tony. Mason Hill and Manu can effectively run our offense. Trade Tony and Ime for Sam Dalembert and Thad Young. This improves our Defense and Rebounding exponentially. Seriously. On the offensive end we miss out on a wizzard in the open court but over the course of a season and playoffs Defense and Rebounding will serve us much better.
