Game Thread #30: Vs. Grizzlies
So we got our Christmas Miracle after all. Once again, in Mason we trust.
You'll have to excuse the half-assed preview, but I'm out of town at a cybercafe and it's 5 AM. I promise to do a proper job with the Bucks preview, since by then I'll be back from visiting the family, and afterwards Sir ATS should be back to take over with his usual panache.
So look forward to that.

Keys To The Game
Some other readingI wasn't able to find much. Either this cybercafe's google is broken, or Memphis needs more bloggers. Please let me know if you guys can find any other sites to put here: 3 Shades of Blue (Definitely worth checking. If only because their banned has a freaking DUNKING BEAR.) Other things of possible interest

Recap: Scrappy Doo said he'd do this recap, but I don't remember reading a post by him in a long time. In case he can't make it and one of you wants to pick the recap, check the guidelines.

My rationale regarding the nicks:
Cognac: Good after dinners, as a complement. Also, French.
Rum: Perfect when you want something lively, fun. There’s nothing better if you’re at a beach on in a pool, and can put a smile on your face.
Whiskey: Simply a classic, steady liquor. Perfect to end the night, or when you’re listening to soft music and reading a book.
Gin: Rather dry on its own but perfect for cocktails. Often overlooked but always there.
Water: H2O.
Agree? Disagree? :)
Sounds good to me, Star Wars has to be next.
I agree about OJ
And can we play someone different for fuck’s sake? I’m tired of the T-Pups and the Cubs.

Me too… but hey!! At least we are 2nd in the west behind the Lakers, even if we are playing these shitty teams I consider that accomplishment to be way out of what was expected at this point of the season.

Check the spurs report at yahoo
The Report has a nice section near the end regarding Duncan. I like…
Just read it...
…and yes. Sums up Duncan perfectly. Duncan with Bird, McHale and Parish? They’d have steam-rolled Magic’s showtime Lakers every year!

poor defensive sequence – we play excellent D for 21 seconds of the 24, then they get an easy floater in the lane.
and again, and now we’re down by 1.

I heard the movie Australia had more cliches in it than…A french guy surrendering to a German while not bathing and eating a baguette.
i don’t know another australian who isn’t cringing at the mere thought of this movie. its a 2+ hour facepalm.

couple of cheap fouls on rebounds (mason, bonner) to open the quarter.
and its a 1 point game.

Astyanax jordani " Blind cave tetra". In honor of missing much of the first half, I present to you this really cool fish. Although they’re blind, they don’t seem to be at any disadvantage when it comes to searching for food, so it seems fish use smell rather than sight. What’s interesting is that when the fish are born, they Do have eyes, but lose them as they grow up and no longer need them in their habitat. So take that, Intelligent Design.
