I still don't understand why the 76ers felt it was necessary to deal Allen Iverson. He is still playing at an All-Star level, and Philadelphia still has some productive players in Iguodala and Dalembert. With as wide open as the Eastern Conference is, behind Boston and Detroit, I have to believe that Philly would probably be a playoff team with AI. Hopefully for us, the "Answer"-less 76ers still don't have an answer for the Spurs on the court.

fuck noah.....and the ark he rode in on.  suspended an extra game by a unanimous vote of his teammates? classic.  a wonder that mouthy punk went this far into the season without getting his teeth knocked out by someone....

The Bulls are a maddeningly franchise. I mean they fired their coach on Christmas Eve for pete's sake. PR be damned. The thing about them that baffles me, is their recent draft history. Tyrus Thomas and Joakim Noah are the same player essentially. Thomas is more athletic, but still neither can shoot and neither play very physically. They drafted LaMarcus Aldrige and then traded him for Thomas. Hello, your team has no post scoring!!!! Then they make no serious attempt to get Kevin Garnett or another mid to low post scoring threat. I'm not even gonna get into the Kobe thing, but good grief, I don't think their ownership gives a damn about winning. Hell they proved that after they won their sixth 'chip in the 90's. Oh well, fuck 'em, it's just crazy though.

what a crap effort until the last 5 minutes.  no ball movement and no urgency on offense at all.  in the last 5, the ball went thru tim and he moved it when they doubled (and tripled) him. manu found the ants to put in his pants as well and that was all she wrote.  hopefully, that will carry over because this god awful offensive play has got to stop.

given their history, its hard to doubt the spurs no matter what is going on with them at present.  

however, i do remember a post on this very site after the second (or maybe third) game of the season.  it predicted that this would be a year very much like the old showtime lakers in a year where they were coming off a championship. it said that the spurs and pop would try to turn it off and on at their will and that it might be maddening at times (i'm paraphrasing of course). it didnt look much like that for the first 20 games, but it might be looking like that at this very moment.  

i know that we have been hurt and all too and that is a factor. i have no idea how gino will get thru the year with that chunk of plastic on his hand.

my main concern about the season right now is getting a high seed in the play-offs.  i think it will be easier to come from the #1 spot so that we only have to face one of the mavs/suns, instead of both. maybe it wont work out that way, but i still want to rack up all the wins we can get.

i do feel like these poor showings will get ironed out in time, but i'm just pissing and moaning about it right now. maybe the next few games against crap teams will make us look better and i'll drink a big steaming cup of happy.

I think we need to remember that, unlike last year, if we go on our run this year, a #1 seed is entirely posssible.  I mean, for all our bitching and such, we're only 1/2 game out of first.

It'll be much harder to go on a run this year. Our second half schedule is brutal. It's just sick. Our time to get a large cushion for the #1 seed was the first half, with all these home games. We've only played 14 freaking road games so far...
