Manu deserves his credit!

Manu deserves credit, not blame for last year!

I want to know why reporters aren't giving Manu Ginobili his credit. All I hear about is Tim Duncan and Tony Parker. I know that Tony had a career year last year, but it was Manu that kept the Spurs in the series against the Mavericks. He single handedly brought them back in game 7 when they down by 20 at halftime. We all know that he fouled Dirk; well he also made the go ahead 3 pointer and gave the Spurs a chance to win when they looked lifeless throughout the entire game!

He is the one with the ball at the end of games because he makes the right decision, he can shoot, drive it to the basket or give it up to his teammates. It's funny how everyone counts him out, are people insipid. The Spurs will go as far as Manu takes them. He was the real MVP against Detroit he single handedly won games 1, 2 and game 7 (his stats were better than Duncan's in game 7). Don't forget he found Robert Horry for that incredible 3 pointer in game 5 in Detroit.

I know last year his stats weren't great, but in the second round he averaged 22 points against the Mavericks so he played rather well even though he wasn't 100 percent!

Manu makes great passes to his teammates, plays tremendous defense, and is the Spurs spark plug and he can take over a game when it is required. Remember game 3 in Dallas when Duncan was in foul trouble, Manu scored 24 points and kept the Spurs in that game; The Spurs could have probably won the game if Horry give him a better pass. And who knows they might have gone to the finals instead of Dallas.

He is definitely the Spurs second best player and at times equally as important as Duncan. The Spurs won a championship in 2005 with Duncan being the centerpiece and Manu, being the difference maker. I believe if Parker gets hurt and Beno becomes our starting point guard the Spurs could still contend for another championship; but if Manu gets hurt and misses the playoffs the Spurs will absolutely have no chance.

Lastly, how can people say Duncan is getting old, even with a band ankle he averaged 32.6 points against the Mavericks; and this year he is finally healthy and in the best shape of his life, I would love to hear your opinion on this?
Thanks
Adam
